Interesting applications and tutorials for educational purposes with a wiimote

[english version]

Some interesting videos found with YouTube and illustrating new Wiimote applications for educational purposes :

1. Wiimote to illustrate Atomic Force Microscopy
Abstract :
“Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) is an important tool for nanotechnology. We tried to use more interesting and interactive way to demonstrate how AFM works. We build a hand held optical lever model (called AFM education kit) that allows people use this model to scan a nanostructure model. A powerful device, WiiTM-mote controller (NintendoTM) is used in the AFM education kit. Wiimote combines infrared camera, MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems) acceleration sensors and Bluetooth connection.”

2. Wiimote pan tilt control

This video shows a pan tilt camera slaved to a Wiimote.
(The Wiimote is controlling 2 servos, here.)
